Requirements

Driving Test Requirements

Under 18

Must be at least 16 years old with a completed Driver’s Education certificate, or 16½ years old without Driver’s Education.
Must hold a learner’s permit for at least 6 months (or until turning 18).
Must complete the Oklahoma Work Zone Safety Course and bring the printed certificate.

18 and Over

Must hold a learner’s permit for at least 30 days, or pass the written exam without obtaining a permit (proof of passing required).
If you do not have an Oklahoma Learner’s Permit or Oklahoma State ID, you must complete a Pre-Approval application on the Service Oklahoma website and provide the Transaction ID.

Real ID is optional
